Hemp & Endocannabinoids
Cannabis Hemp is the world’s most beneficial agricultural crop and the most sustainable crop known to humans. There are easily over 25,000 known uses for Cannabis Hemp! Aside from being able to sustainably transform the world into a healthier more abundant home for all species through bioplastics, paper and Hempcrete for example, Cannabis is said to be optimal bio-physiological health as well.
Without a proper functioning Endocannabinoid System, the human body can not maintain normal cell function. Scientists believe all mammals have maintained an endo-cannabinoid system for more than 500 million years. This explains why there are more receptors in the body for cannabinoids than any other substance. The two primary receptors in the Endocannabinoid System (ECS) are called CB1 and CB2 receptors.
These receptors are essentially a regulatory network of receptors spread throughout the bodies of all mammals. While each of the receptors operate differently depending on where they are in the human body, they are all essentially trying to maintain homeostasis.

CB1 Receptors
CB1 receptors are found mostly on neurons in the spinal cord, brain and peripheral nervous system and regulate appetite, pain modulation, memory processing & motor control (memory, mood and movement).
CB2 Receptors
CB2 receptors are found mainly in immune cells such as the spleen and tonsils.
Cannabinoids
Cannabinoids are a diverse set of chemical compounds that provide communication between specific receptors in the ECS.
Endogenous Cannabinoids
Endogenous cannabinoids such as anandamide and 2-Arachidonoylglycerol are produced naturally by the human body.
Phyto Cannabinoids
Phyto Cannabinoids (plant-based cannabinoids) such as THC, CBD, CBG, CBC, CBT, etc.., all help to regulate the human Endocannabinoid system. Once this system is sufficient (from a steady introduction of a full spectrum of cannabis extract), the entourage effect is initiated. The entourage effect simply means that the human endocannabinoid system (ECS) is functioning as it’s supposed to.
In a well-balanced ECS, endocannabinoids would be available in perfect quantities to achieve homeostasis. But, because our bodies are constantly working to counteract both internal and external stressors, meaning it is constantly working to produce or reduce these quantities. A perfect balance is rarely achieved. This is where Phyto cannabinoids come in. They can interact with the endocannabinoid system equally as well as our own versions.
We want to have a well-balanced fully functioning ECS when possible. This is so important because the ECS regulates the homeostasis of a variety of physiological processes within the human body such as memory, mood and movement. The ECS helps regulate appetite, pain and pleasure sensation and the immune system.
Hemp Flower Naturals believes the start to a well-balanced ECS starts with ingesting and or topical use of a high-quality full spectrum cannabis extract.
